Free Mom Hugs was founded by Sara Cunnigham, an author and activist. In her book How We Sleep at Night, she tells the story of her journey “from the church to the Pride parade” after learning her son, Parker, is gay. Sara fell in love with the LGBTQIA+ community – and in the wake of beautiful, glitter-covered hugs, the mission of Free Mom Hugs began.
