Pretty nice I've never owned ballet flats before, so I did a lot of research about all different brands styles etc before even sticking something in a shopping cart. I recently had a leg injury and was wearing flip flops all the time and decided I needed something a little more classy than toes out reefs all the time. I originally was going to buy a pair of tieks but was put off by the amount of cracking/shedding of the sole that was considered "normal" and of course the price is a little over the top. I also have a duck like the foot, so wide options were a good option to have. Before spending over $50+ on a pair of flats I purchased a pair of 7.5M new on ebay for about $17 to try ballet flats out before purchasing these hushpuppies which were recoommened by a lot of reviewers for wider feet. The 7.5M fit pretty good when I was seated but standing and walking was painful by squishy my front toes and seemingly not enough sole beneath my foot, I wanted to avoid muffin top foot look in leather flats. After a long debate, like a week after my dogs ate one of the $17 flats, I ordered the 7.5W in the hopes it didn't squish my foot as much. the 7.5W was much better from the front of my foot but narrow heel had a slight slip so I just suck some heel cushion things in and they fit pretty good. I guess they're broken in, Ive worn them for a little over 2 weeks now on and off every day almost. Much wider sole on the W comared to the M, my foot is still a little squished but not much more than a pair of men's pumas (men's shoes are a little wider!) So I eliminated muffin top foot and serious toe squishing. 8 would be too long, so i needed the wide. I honestly could maybe use an EW but it would be too loose in the lenght and heel. Also, I will second the notion that the soles are not meant for serious traction, wet floors seems to have little traction- so just be cautious. All in all im pretty happy with them, the price is a little steep but if they last they will be deemed a good value.

Dangerous when wet I have worn the Chaste Ballet Flat in several other colors. I have obviously liked them and been happy with them, but this will likely be my last pair. The outer sole has changed, and where I used to be able to wear them in any weather, these new soles become extremely slippery when wet -- in spite of the tread like pattern in them. I will have to wear them only during dry weather and where spills are unlikely.

Great comfortable flat Love these shoes. Maybe not quite as comfortable as the suede ones, but still my ‘go to’ black flat.
