If you're looking for a simple ballet flat (I got them in black) that is like a real shoe and doesn't have those flexie sides, this is the one. Substantial sole, too, for the type of shoe. I took them on vacation and they held up with lots of walking. No "breaking in;" they were instantly comfortable. And bonus -- they come in narrow, when so few shoes do these days.
