This is a cute, comfortable boot! Especially for skinny legs! I just bought it (in May) because I'm on an end-of-season boot shopping spree, so I can't really speak to it's warmth. But the sole is lightweight and comfortable. The look is casual but stylish. Looks great with jeans. Could go with a dress, but definitely makes the look very casual. I am usually between a 9 1/2 and 10, and the 9 1/2 is perfect. A medium sock fits, heavy sock makes it snug. I have 14 inch calves (skinny) and the top of the boot is actually pretty snug to my leg (which is hard to find). But it's designed to subtly have extra room throughout the leg, and there is goring at the top, so they easily fit pants inside them, and I think they would fit at least up to a 14 1/2 inch calf. Maybe 15 if you like snug and don't mind breaking them in. Too bad I have to wait six months, but I have a feeling I'll be wearing these every day next fall!
