I own these shoes in both brown and black. The shoe shape and heel height is ideal for business (you wouldnt want to go any higher than 3" but it gives you the height to look tall and long in suiting). The shape of the shoe never catches the pant hem when sitting or walking. I was a ballet dancer years ago and I now have foot problems. I need dress shoes with a square toe box (very hard to find). These shoes have incredible padding and support and provide enough room for your toes. I hope hush puppies continues to provide dress options for those of us who cant stand a round or pointed toe. The leather will soften up but keeps its shape well over time. As with any dress shoe, if you plan to wear with trouser socks buy 1/2 size larger. If you plan to wear with hose they are true to size.
