I just bought my third pair of these shoes in the last 5 years. The pair I bought 5 years ago finally wore out after being worn almost every day during that time. (The second pair I bought about two years ago were accidentally destroyed soon after I bought them by an encounter with fresh asphalt.) I'm a big, heavy guy. That these shoes withstood over 4 years of nearly daily wear - in all conditions, including minor hiking and such - is absolutely remarkable. Beyond that, these shoes don't leave me with aches or pain in my knees, hips or back like other shoes can. The top of the heel in the back started coming apart a few months ago, then the gel pad in the left shoe shifted, and finally last week part of the right sole came loose. This prompted me to turn the shoes upside down, and I saw that the soles were starting to wear through to the material underneath in some spots. I've never had a pair of shoes last this long. I feel like I more than got my money's worth. The fact that they're so comfortable is a bonus.

I purchased this shoe four years ago at a local shoe depot and was crushed to find out they no longer stocked it. They wear like iron , are light-weight and waterproof. Thank goodness I found them on the web. I'm buying two pair this time, black and brown. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny. I walk on asphalt every day and have yet to make a dent in the heel or sole of the shoe. They are truly amazing. Only flaw is the inner heel area at the top is starting to wear out.

I've worn this shoe to work for years now. It's durable enough that each pair lasts over a year with near daily use. It's waterproof, rugged and comfortable. It's even comfortable enough to go for my afternoon 1 mile walk. The only suggestion that I'd make for improvement is to add more ventilation to get moisture away from the foot. Thanks.

I have been a fan of Hush Puppies for several years, but this style is not nearly as comfortable as I have come to expect. At the end of the day my feet are tired and sore and I can't wait to get these off my feet. The soles are not as "cushiony" as others and the shoes are quite heavy by comparison. I bought these for everyday wear, but they are less comfortable than my dress shoes! I am about to relegate them to the back of my closet and go back to wearing the shoes that these were supposed to replace.
